I say try compatibility mode, and if you have a friend with a PC and VISTA or Windows 7, have them try run the game. So is the issue Windows, the PC, or another factor. The games run on the Windows 7 machine but not the VISTA machine, even in compatibility mode. Now both systems are different so can't confirm possible hardware issues with these games, but they are games for Windows XP. I have somewhat tested this theory by testing a couple of games on a VISTA PC and a windows 7 PC.
